Instagram is a photo and video-sharing social networking service owned by Facebook, Inc. The app was first released in October 2010 for iOS devices, and then for Android devices in April 2012. Instagram lets users take photos and videos, apply filters to them, and share them on the app’s own social network or other social networks such as Twitter and Facebook.
With over 400 million active monthly users, Instagram is one of the most popular social networking services today. It has also been rated as one of the top 10 most downloaded apps of all time. I also discovered this new feature while I was scrolling through my Instagram feed using my Spectrum phone service. An icon continuously kept flashing on the upper right corner of my screen. Intrigued, I clicked on it and was mesmerized by what I saw.

Download Media Files from Instagram:
Instagram is a very secured App and it take privacy very seriously, therefore it does not allow users to download other users’ media files. The only way to download photos and videos from Instagram is to have the person who posted them download them for you, or to take a screenshot.
There are, however, some workarounds that will allow you to download media files from Instagram. These methods are not officially supported by Instagram, and they may not work for all users.
There are few methods which we will discuss later that how we download the media files of Instagram by using those methods.
Use Instagram’s Save Option:
The first option is the one most people are already familiar with: simply saving someone’s post to your own profile. To do this, just view the photo or video you want to save and tap on the three dots in the top right corner of the screen. From there, select “save” and the post will be added to your saved media.
The person who originally posted the photo or video will not be notified that you saved it. However, anyone who can view your profile will be able to see that you’ve saved the post by going to your profile and tapping on “saved.”
This is a great option if you want to save a post for later, but don’t necessarily want to download it to your device.
Use Third Party Website:
If you want to download someone’s photo or video from Instagram, there are a few different third-party websites that you can use. From of them which I personally recommend is Insta Zoom which allows user to download Profile picture, photo, video also you can stalk other Instagram users profile as well. These website are not affiliated with Instagram, and they allow you to download photos and videos from the app without the person who posted them knowing.
Keep in mind that these apps are not endorsed by Instagram, and they could be shut down at any time. They also may not work for all users.
Use A Screenshot:
If you don’t want to use a third-party app, or if none of the apps are working for you, you can always take a screenshot of the photo or video you want to download. To do this, simply view the post on your feed or in Instagram Stories and take a screenshot like you would with any other photo.
The person who posted the photo or video will not be notified that you took a screenshot. However, anyone who can view your profile will be able to see that you’ve saved the post by going to your profile and tapping on “saved.”
Keep in mind that taking a screenshot is not the same as downloading a photo or video, so you won’t be able to view the file offline. However, it’s a quick and easy way to save a post for later if you don’t want to use a third-party app.

Use A Screen Recording:
If you want to download a video from Instagram, you can also use a screen recording. To do this, simply launch the Instagram app and begin playing the video you want to download. Then, open your Control Center and tap on “Screen Record.” The video will begin recording, and you can save it to your device when it’s finished.
The person who posted the video will not be notified that you recorded it. However, anyone who can view your profile will be able to see that you’ve saved the post by going to your profile and tapping on “saved.”
