Shanxi Medical University (SXMU) is one of the few universities in China authorized to confer doctoral degrees, as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees. Clinical Medicine and Public Health have been designated as National Experimental Units, and students pursuing Master’s degrees are trained in these fields. Adult students in Shanxi province can also earn bachelor’s degrees in medicine from the university.
Furthermore, the university is authorized to confer doctoral degrees in the seven disciplines listed below. Careers and practice:
For MBBS students, the internship lasts one year (minimum 48 weeks). Internships in China are generally preferred by international students. SXMU must, however, conduct a qualification check on the student’s chosen hospital for internships in other countries. Students must choose a WHO-accredited teaching hospital and complete the internship weeks and content requirements. An internship certificate is also required.
Students must pass a theory exam and a clinical assessment final exam at Shanxi Medical University after completing their internship. International medical students will receive a diploma from Shanxi Medical University after completing the program requirements and passing the final exams, and if they meet the university’s regulations, they will be awarded a medical degree. The faculty at Shanxi Medical University is excellent. There are 5,000 teaching and medical personnel.
